The Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) is designed to help homeowners and landlords switch to low-carbon heating solutions, such as heat pumps. To qualify:

Both owner-occupied homes and privately rented properties may be eligible.

You must be replacing a fossil fuel system

The Boiler Upgrade Scheme supports the replacement of existing heating systems that use:

The grant is not available if your property already uses a qualifying low-carbon heating system.

Property Suitability | Your home

our property must be suitable for a heat pump

Not every property is suitable for a heat pump without assessment.
 

To qualify, your home must be capable of supporting:
